Today we made the trip up to Golden Oaks and returned with some really nice heifers that will be part of the 4-H club projects for this years Lake County Fair. There were 7 heifers making the trip to Wagner and one of them, Tally, is making a return trip as this is her second year as a 4-H exhibit. All of the heifers are Holsteins with two of them being the very valuable "red and white line" instead of the more common black and whites. From now on, the 4-H members will be totally responsible for all the the care, feeding and training of the projects. As I was making this post I think all the kids were down in the barn meeting their new best friends. A great day! Special thanks to Nate, Ethan and Julie for making this happen
