It's one thing to map out 99 plots on a piece of paper; it's quite another to take those plots from paper to soil, as a handful of volunteers and staff learned today. The entire fenced area is 112' by 360', and the 99 plots are each 10' by 20'. Using twine, a 10' board, sledgehammers and over 200 stakes, we based our initial measurements from the several stakes installed during the survey and started pounding.
