This past weekend some of the dairy kids got the chance to travel up to Golden Oaks and lend a hand getting a few of their animals ready for a mock show that they hosted. While there isn't a whole lot of complicated in washing 13 animals in 120 minutes what should get some appreciation was the fact that one of the goals of the 4-H club; knowing how to work hard was. Too often we hear about how these "northshore" kids lack work ethic or motivation. That Sunday morning at 6:00 AM while soaked to the bone and bespeckled with "dirt" they worked fast and did it with a smile. What more could you ask for?
