Farm Shed

Progress is being made on the farm shed despite the horrid heat. Andy, Carlin, Rob, Lindsay and Andres have been starting earlier in the morning to try to dodge the worse of the heat. Last week the trusses were placed and this week the sheathing has gone on. Rob, our mason, has been placing rock when not helping with the hammering. While we are still very disappointed about not getting to use timber framing to construct the building one good thing is we are using every modern edge to make the building stout. Additions such as hurricane clips were not around in the 1900's but they will make our shed able to withstand 100 + mile an hour winds. With the crazy weather of late this might be important.
