I wanted to draw attention to an organization that has made
a big impact on the Farmer’s Market. The
Glenview Women of Today has donated money again this year to support accepting
LINK cards (formerly known as food stamps) at the Farmer’s Market. The Glenview Women of Today is a local
organization dedicated to community service.
Their donation goes towards
offering LINK card users a Double Value Program. For every dollar taken off a LINK card, the
Farm is able to match the funds, giving LINK users double the amount of money
to spend on locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. This program would not be possible without
the generous donations of local organizations like the Glenview Women of Today. On Wednesday evening the Glenview Women of
Today hosted a reception where they presented donation checks to Wagner Farm
and twenty-three other charitable organizations. Their incredible generosity will definitely
be felt throughout the Glenview
