Amber from Urban Worm Girl held a wormtastic class in the science classroom on Thursday night. Participants learned about the science of composting, how composting with worms speeds up the process, the benefits of vermicompost over other types of compost, and how to "ferment" food scraps indoors.
Participants got to take home their own worm bin after preparing it under Amber's guidance, an added bonus!
